I have such a soft spot in my heart for the elderly, I could imagine myself being fooled by them too. It makes me sad to think there are people like that out there. Luckily, nothing like that has happened to me, though my office uses <a href="www.realpage.com" rel="nofollow">rental property management software</a> and online tenant screening to avoid problems like this. Check with your attorney, of course, but my thinking is that doing so would create a big liability for the owner/manager, on many levels. That said, CoreLogic has developed a new product they call "CoreScore," which takes into account landlord/rent history.
