ESAs in SFRs (and Apartments) – Emotional Support Animals

This is a brand new course, delving deeply into the ins and outs of the property manager’s role in addressing tenant requests for “Emotional Support Animals” (ESAs) in residential rental units.

The course is approved for 3 HOURS CE credit in Property Management (or General) CE.5864000-RE.

In this 3-hour class, we’ll explore:

  • The differences between ESAs and “pets”
  • How ADA and the Federal Fair Housing Act address these animals
  • The kind of training required for someone’s animal to be considered an ESA (spoiler: NONE)
  • Verifying a renter’s need for an ESA
  • And much, much more!

The first offering of this course was held in July, 2017 through Ticor Title’s “Ticor Academy.” It was a full house, and great interaction. Keep an eye on this website for the next scheduled offering.
